From January to March at Altom

The first quarter of 2016 has been very busy for the Altoms, thus this is the first article on our retrospective.

The New Year started with an anniversary, celebrating Denisa’s birthday and preparing for the months that will come: activity plans, personal development plans and many more.

February also started with an anniversary and the planning and attending of both European Testing Conference in Bucharest and Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Many Altoms attended European Testing Conference, both as volunteers, participants and even speakers. Read their article on the conference here.

Attending Mobile World Congress has become a tradition in Altom, so we couldn’t have missed it this year. Ru, Alex and Bogdan went to Barcelona to present AltTap to the mobile world and see the latest trends in the industry.

Also, on February 28 the Spring BBST® Foundations class has begun and we are proud of our students that have graduated the course. We are waiting for you for the BBST® Bug Advocacy, the next class in the series.

For those of you accustomed with Session-Based Test Management, we have news for you: the 2.1 version of the SBTM template has been released. Read more about it in this article.

The first A-day this year was Andra’s and we celebrated it at the beginning of the month. Thank you for all the goodies, Andra! And may you have many more years with us!

March has started with a celebration of a new season and the girls were all wearing “mărțișoare”, the traditional symbol of Spring, a Romanian tradition kept since ancient times. Just a week after the first celebration, a next one followed: Women’s Day, when we have celebrated the girls and sent them to have a relaxing afternoon at a SPA in Cluj.

The next days we were quite active, as Alexandra was delegated as speaker at Test Bash in Brighton and Oana, Alex and Bogdan attended CeBIT in Germany, the second fair of the year.

Anca, Roxi and Sandra proudly represented us at the CariereInIT fair in Cluj, where they met and talked to many curious testers-to-be.

A second A-Day was celebrated: Ionut’s first year as an Altom. The tables were full of goodies and we thank you for this, Ionut! May you have many happy years spent with Altom!

The first three months of 2016 have been intense for us, but we enjoyed every moment!

Don’t forget that the Summer BBST® Foundations class begins on May 15 (you still have few days of the Early Bird promotion – register asap!) and this Autumn James Bach will be back to Cluj for the Rapid Software Testing and Session-Based Test Management classes. Read more details on them and don’t hesitate to write us if you have questions! 🙂
