September, the first month of autumn, has come and go and the summer atmosphere was still felt in the air, as days were still long and warm.
But the Altoms didn’t waste any minute and were as active as usual: working and finishing projects, taking part in competitions and organizing the Autumn Camp together with other colleagues at Tabăra de Testare.
So let’s take them one by one.
As every working day since 7 years ago (when the company was founded), we are focusing on what we know how to do best: testing and respecting our core values, purposes and getting closer to our visionary goal. Spoiler: this is just a teaser.
As we like to be involved in the testing community worldwide, we also like to take part in different conferences, so this September Adina and Ru attended CITCON in Helsinki, where they met fellow testers, attended sessions and exchanged opinions on testing.
Altoms, besides loving cycling, love also running, so the Companies’ Cross was the perfect moment to exercise our skills in this direction. For a couple of hours three participants from Altom ran together with another 1300 people in the city centre of Cluj.
The end of the month brought along Autumn Camp, an event organized together with other members involved in Tabăra de Testare, where we spent four inspirational days full of workshops, presentations, but also fun. More about this in another blog post.
No month passes at Altom without celebrations:. This September we had four anniversaries and one work anniversary: the birthday girls were Dolly, Ramona, Melinda and Ru. The other celebration was for Roxi, as two years have passed since she joined our team. Girls, may you be happy with us many years from now on and may you be smiling forever!
Of course, besides the projects we are working on, we are also focusing on the last details for the Rapid Software Testing and Rapid Software Testing for Managers with James Bach and the BBST Foundations class (that will take place in November). For the latter one we also organized a contest with Today Software Magazine. See more details about this here.
As pictures describe the atmosphere better than words, here is a collection of the most important moments we lived in September:
